Welcome to the Swinford Tri Sports shiny new official web page! Swinford Tri Sports were formed in 2009 as a non-profit club whose main aim is to promote sporting activities in the Swinford area and neighboring towns.

For the last two years in July we have played host to two of the fastest growing races on the Triathlon Ireland calendar. The Humbert Challenge 1/2 Iron Triathlon, now in its third year, aims to follow in the footsteps of General Jean Joseph Humbert and his French invasion force of 1798 and the undulating yet fast route covers many historical towns and landmarks along the way as well as some truly epic scenery. The Humbert Sprint Triathlon is centered around the spectacularly calm lake waters of Callow Lake with a run route that will test even the most hardy of mountain goat! Make the Humbert Challenge, be it Sprint or Half Iron distance, part of your history!

NewsFlash! - Dates for the 2012 Triathlon season have now been confirmed by Triathlon Ireland. We are delighted to announce that the club will stage the hugely popular Humbert Challenge half Iron Triathlon on Sunday 22nd July 2012 (race start 9am) with the prelude Sprint distance race being held on Saturday 21st July 2012 (race start 11am). Entries will open for both races at 9am on 1st March 2012.
